D2 S8 PF - For Sale as a whole for Repairs etc
 

Hi There,

I have a 1998 Audi S8 pre facelift Jaspis Green with a cream interior which has a gear box problem that i've now just lost interest in. It's been parked at my work for a few months and I'm not getting anywhere else with it and now have some other vehicles so could really do with getting rid of it

Approx 135k on it. 32valve engine that runs nicely but it has almost no power in forwards gear. Struggles to do a few miles an hour. Reverse has no problems though. (gearbox thread here http://forum.a8parts.co.uk/showthread.php?t=7323 )

Paintwork is a bit patchy round the doors. Interior is good though.

Has a solar sunroof, auto blinds and old style sat nav. Wheels are good (FL iirc) and tyres have lots of tread as I'd just replaced them

I know it's not the done thing to break cars on here, and I don't see this as that kind of thread anyway as you're offering it whole, but I'll pitch in with a 'maybe'.

IF you end up weighing it in I'd be potentially interested in the wheels to use for winters and the plate (wouldn't want to pay much over the £80 transfer fee though as the letters mean nothing to me but it does at least have S8 at the front!)

It's a whole car or nothing deal. If I wanted to get into the parts business, I'd be stripping the car and selling components on ebay for a lot more than i'll let the car go for. If you want parts, buy the whole thing and strip it yourself as I don't have the time or inclination to break the car

It's actually a great car that with a "new" gearbox would be a fantastic runner. I don't have ramps otherwise i'd be looking at swapping it myself!
