WANTED: A8 D3 Rear RIGHT WING LED Light 4E0945096C. Oh and a new Turbo

After a rear RIGHT WING LED Light (4E0945096C) for a D3 A8 2006. Ordering a new one is around £200!

And although not totally sure yet till more investigation (as to why I get a boat load of smoke out of the exhaust when idling for a few minutes) - a new turbo! Have been quoted £1200 for genuine part or £700 for non-genuine/refurbished. Any advice or suggestions on where to get this part would very much appreciated since this month has already been an expensive one thanks dentist!

thanks

You might consider replacing the LEDs, about £4 off eBay :) Unless the lens is broken of course...

Thanks audifin I did not know that you could do this, is this something you have done? Was it difficult?

I phoned up prestigemotorservices.co.uk and managed to get a spare circuit board with the leds on it for just over £70 incl postage so I'm happy about that.

Hello Zahg
When I had my 2004 D3 my engine management light kept coming on and the car would go into limp home mode, I took it to Wearside Audi, they had my car for a week, found to be an intermittent electrical fault on the ecu on the turbo, apparently they were part of the turbo on a 2004 A8
Anyway Audi charged me £1978 for diagnostics and a new turbo
They asked me if I wanted the old turbo, I said yes for that price I was going to put it on my mantel piece in the living room
Shame really car would drive normal for weeks and then go off, or could go off two or three times in a week
Still got the turbo, it is absolutely brand new, thinking of seeing if the electrical fault can be repaired as the turbo is mint

Yes I replaced all 24 LEDs recently on the left rear light. Very simple soldering job if you have any experience in soldering +++ You need to buy "strawhat" type LEDs.
