HW-Number: ????
I was a play with the a different hidden menu on the MMI and it listed all the different components attached to the MMI.
Bluetooth, Voice Control, Dension, Gateway, Navigation and such. Looking through the different options it would list hardware and software information. They all have a full list like this. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...ps6xwoyfq8.jpg But these two did not. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...psn2rnicou.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...psrw1d9fpe.jpg Normally I'd ignore it but recently odd things have been happening. Normally a restart work or waiting a day and its ok. With no fault codes presented I'm wondering if this might have something to do with it? This is what it did the other day. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...psyxnty2zp.jpg |
Might just be a duff / dirty nav cd or even a disc unit error. Ive recently had to change a disc unit in a D3 which presented the same issue and when we tried updating the disc for a new one it still came up with the same error, which didn't happen all the time but sometimes. You might end up having to source another Nav unit if it doesn't resolve with a disc clean or replacement..

For me it was a dirty CD or clean laser with some isopropyl alcohol if that wont help
|
The note about navigation is not installed is a hardware/software fault with the unit, don't think its got anything to do with the CD.
I've had it mess up where it could not read the CD. I will take the unit out and give it a clean at some point. |
I need to clean mine, it sometimes pops up "Check Navigation DVD". I have two different types of removal keys but neither seem to release the catches so I can pull the unit.
