WANTED: D3 Exterior handle - chrome trim

Hello Gents
As per title I need exterior chrome handle trim or a faulty handle (KESSY).
Ideally just the chrome trim as I don't need anything else.

The chrome trim is attached by the 2 screws from the bottom at the back.

Cheers +++

Are you in a hurry for one? One of my touch sensors has gone and i will be changing it at some point, just dont know when yet (i do already have the replacement) and you are welcome to the old one

M-A8,
If you happen to get a full handle and still only want the chrome bit, would you be so kind as to send me the remaining bits please?
I'll sort something for postage and such if you want.

I need 3 handles for vering issues.
Lock don't work, unlock don't work and a LED don't work.
I want to take a look at a unit and strip it down to get an idea of how they work and whats in them.

Tristan, brilliant +++
I can wait until you are ready so it's all good.
Thank You !!!

Scott, of course mate.
If Tristan decides to send the whole body not just the chrome trim, don't need any postage money or anything like that.

Sorry its taken so long, I managed to replace the handle yesterday but still,no touch sensor, so Im worried that it may not be a handle problem after all.

Im not at work tomorrow so will try my other spare handle and let you know

OK, tried my other handle yesterday, and still no joy. So, either both spares have the same fault or,its something else. Anyone git any suggestions?

In the meantime, I can send you the silver trim, just pm me you details

Morning Tristan
Bloody hell, that's unfortunate and weird, but on the other it is possible that both of them were sold as spares because of the sensor fault as you said.
I'm guessing buying a working one is not the best option right now if you are not completely sure if this is the faulty sensor it self.
Another obvious I think option would be taking off the handle from the working side and plugging it in on the faulty side and see if that works.
I guess there is quiet a lot of work involved in replacing the handle?
This probably is crazy, but if there is a lot involve then maybe you could make a quick harness with one female and one male connector on each end and just wire the faulty side harness to the working harness. A bit crazy I know.
How about checking the voltage??

Will PM you soon Tristan +++

Check the continuity on the switch?

I guess its a basic push switch?
Push to make contact, let go to break contact.
If so, get your tester out and see what happens when you press the button.

Thing is I bought a full set of 4 when I got the car and have used two already, and its surprising that I managed to randomly choose the working ones if they are faulty.

Its the capacitance sensor thats not working, but still worth checking for continuity, and although I don't relish taking one of the other handles off, I think thats the best way forward
