Winter preperation

1 Attachment(s)
Well today I peeled my carcass off the sofa long enough to get the car somewhat ready for winter.

Started off by fitting winter wheels which have just been re shod recently with 4 x Pirelli SottoZero Serie 3 255/40R19 100 V XL,

I then stuck in the rubber matts to stop the carpet ones getting manky

Finished off for today with cleaning of the sun roof drains which were blocked again.

Will have a look at the scuttle area tomorrow and make sure its draining properly, will also see if I can sort the windscreen out as I am having trouble getting it to wipe clear after have put rain x on it prior to the trip to Scotland

Sottozero 2's here on my winter wheels; they'll probably go on next week as the next few days are forecast to be relatively warm.
I also change the floor overmats as well at the same time, though as I'm still drying out the interior (drains :o ) there are none at present, just towels and newspaper when required.

Mate I would be gutted if the inside of my car was soaking like that so I feel for ya, Have you been to the diy places that have them de humidifiers that use salts.

Only thing with them is you need to empty before driving or you could have a spill.

I've got some large Silica Gel packs arriving tomorrow to finish the job off. Did have some before, but I wrecked them by regenerating them incorrectly. :tuttut:

Thanks Del. Today was first time I could actually photo them in daylight and share them here. Not too sure of their offset, but they look ok for a 7.5" wide rim. With them on it gives me a few months now to tidy a few kerb marks on my 20" summers.

If your looking to get powdercoating done on the rims then I can recommend Aerocoat

Good recommendation, thanks +++ I certainly will go and see them.
