indicators dont work
 

Coming back from a breakfast meal and noticed my indicators still working.
Move the stalk and nothing left or right.

Finally started indicating left in the left position but still nothing on the right.
couple more tries going right and it would indicate left.

It appears I can indicate left but not right.

All lights flash when locking and unlocking the car.

I'm looking for older VCDS lead and ill run a scan.

But in the meantime has anyone came across anything like this before?

What about the hazard flashers?
On some VAG models the relay is in the hazard flasher switch and this needs to be replaced to make the indicators work again. Being more advanced, I'm not sure the A8 would be like this.

Ive not tried that.

I will take a look.

My VCDS lead can only do D2s not D3s.
So that's no good.

Hazards work fine.

It looks like it's the stalk.

If I do the parking light only the left work with stalk in either position.

Drove to Conan's house at about 1630 for a VCDS scan and they started to work.
no fault codes or anything.

Very odd.
