Part number from a Chassis Number?

Guys,

I have a overfuelling problem with my D3 3.0TDI. A friend put the car on VCDS and confirmed that the throttle body is faulty.

Is there any way someone can get me the part number from say the chassis number? I am trying to avoid having to take it off until I have a replacement unit.

Hi Rog,

I've actually found the stealers quite obliging in matters like this, even GIVING me the part number so I can try other sources. They will be able to correlate the VIN number in a worse case scenario.

a8parts can get that info for you, and more often than not beat the dealer prices on a new one, delivered to your doorstep...
