d3 alarm siren
hi I have a fault code for the alarm siren so I had a look under the bonnet and the siren is missing and I don't see the connecter plug does anybody no where the wiring connecter comes from.
cheers trev |
I've replaced my siren twice, I assume you are looking at the passenger side under the scuttle panels right up against the bulkhead?.

ah ok found it I was looking at the drivers side.Whats the best way to remove the siren does the expansion bottle just lift up when I remove the two 10mm bolts.
cheers trev |
Undo the bolts and lift out, I dont have anything close by the siren. Clean up the dead leaves etc. from behind it before refitting.

hi does any alarm siren fit a d3 the part no are the same its the letter at the end is different does this matter.
cheers trev |
The same part is used pretty much across the Audi Range, just with a different bracket. The one I have now came from an A6 or A4, cannot remember which. There are two different sirens, the later ones tend to be have better longer lasting batteries.

A8 Parts, our forum sponsors (see heading) should have a good supply of them
im sure there will be a lead in the rear wing area somewhere that plugs back into it if you get one. People disconnect them as they start to go off repeatedly sometimes when the battery gets low +++ |
