Hi chaps is there a vin decoder for the d3 2004 onwards thanks

What info do you want to establish? VIN doesn't tell you much except model type and year of production. VIN can be linked to option codes, but only through Audi systems. The service book/boot well 3 character codes can be translated into something more meaningful but it's more hit and miss than it used to be as Audi run out of space quite quickly in the space available!

I have a software option code decoder so if you post the sticker from your service book (with VIN blanked out if you wish) I can do the rest and pdf it for you if that's what you're after?

For those paying attention to their Facebook feeds, and for those following a8parts they offered up a while back to retrieve build code info for customers from VIN if you ask em nicely...

They have links into systems that give all the correct build codes for cars - takes the guess work out of whether a caller actually knows what part they think they want for their car... +++
