sidelight leds
hi well I installed these today
http://www.hids-direct.co.uk/501-w5w...ht-bulbs-pair/ and I`m getting an error message what is everybody else using that give no errors cheers trev |
Just send them back they are junk.
I don't know why they go on about CANBUS, the CANBUS has nothing to do with bulb fault detection or warning, it is done by measuring current draw. That means you need to be pulling pretty much the original 5 Watts which is not really plausible from LEDs on something that would fit in that tiny hole. |
ok so what do you use to get the xenon look on the sidelight.

Philips Blue Vision Ultra W5W or Osram Cool Blue Intense W5W are your best choices. Forget LED and stick with simple incandescent. +++

ok which is the best Philips or osram

If I were to buy some now, I'd go with the Osram

If you really want LEDs in the side lights the only good way is to connect each LED in parallel with the old incandescent bulb. Place the LED in the correct holder then leave the old bulb dangling somewhere out of sight.
Trups on sales@emtuning.co.uk will be able to help you with a made up kit. He also does a good line in LEDs for all the internals, especially the door/boot/glove/vanity/footwell lights. Of course, if you mention my name he will charge you double  |
