Cost of Australian S8
 

Just been looking at S8s here now that they have released S8s in Oz. The scary thing is the Federal Govt "Luxury Car Tax". The base S8 is $230k AUS (£124.5k) but there is Luxury Car Tax @ $52,050 (£23.2K). Then you need to add delivery @ £2.6k and thenWestern Australia registration and Stamp Duty coming in at $10,338 (£5.6k) making a total of $306,564 (£165,710).So an almost 30% increase on base price. :eek:

Ouch. You can buy a good car for that :)
But thinking about it, it cost me £69 to send a S8 grill to Oz so pound for pound it would be cheaper to buy the whole car out there than send it in bits. Not sure that helps.

Its even worth in Scandinavia. Here is the example of Danish prices with the most expensive model being £191k

S8 here in Norway fully loaded £ 190 000,-
3 years later its only worth 90 k..:p
