hunt for a plug!!
1 Attachment(s)
Im after a plug for this Aux heater pump.
Does anyone happen to have one? Or know the part number. |
Sorry Scott, cannot return your favour, nothing like it in my box of bits.
Have you tried ETKA? |
Nothing is listed for that socket that I can see.
I will trawl through ETKA at some point. I was hoping someone had a box of cables and plugs. |

That's a bog standard connector common to VAG going back years - local dealer or TPS should have them on the shelf :) if the wiring is damaged you'll probably need some 'repair wires' with tags already attached to go in the plug, and some crimp connectors with built in heat shrink/glue - TPS sell those too but they're not cheap. Worth it for OEM look though. Needed all that (but a 3 pin plug) when I rewired my alarm module.
£6.85+vat is RRP from TPS etc - although the 3 pin version I bought was £3.64+vat so worth checking that part number too. Repair wires are I think 000979021e - they come in a bag of 5 but think they'll sell individually, and it'd be worth them confirming the part number anyway as they vary depending on wire thickness. Connectors for those repair wires are 000979940 but again those are for thin wires to match the repair wire part number so will be different if the cable is meatier |
You guys continue to amaze me
Always seems that someone has the answer. +++ I am so happy to be part of the gang. |
Hi Ray i will have one of these somewhere for sure, so if you want a used one can be arranged for 2 quid + the postage (i may even have one with some wiring out the back).

Hi Neil,
Thanks for the offer but it was Scott that wanted the plug. Hopefully he'll see your offer and take you up on it. |

Kit here on eBay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141452335955 (I've just ordered up a 3-pin MALE version from that supplier ;) to extend my alarm sounder wiring) |
Thanks for the part numbers lads.
I'll order a new plug and repair wires from Audi this week. also need to order the other end as well. Hopefully I'll have a working Auxiliary heater while I'm away from the caR. That's the plan. |
