Door lock question....

Hi all
I've disconnected my central locking pump as I think it may be faulty as it kept running for too long (so perhaps faulty or leaking so completely unplugged it)

With it all disconnected I have no central locking, electric windows etc., but I have noticed that my door lock (?) seems to be making a slight clicking noise occasionally - it there another electrical connector/senor separate to the central locking that may cause this?

Its a bit annoying - I think it may have also been doing it when the central locking pump was going haywire - but thought it was related to that

Now think it may be a separate issue

Any clues?

Thanks

Electric windows have nothing to do with the central locking pump. I have just changed my central locking pump with one off of ebay

Electric windows were al working before I unplugged all 3 plugs out of central locking pump - so not a coincidence surely?

I must admit I did not try my windows once the old unit was out before I refitted the new one. Even though my central locking pump gave up the ghost, I still had all my electric windows before and after replacement.
I am sure someone will come along with a sure fire answer for you soon though.

Central locking pump does most of the central convenience for the car including windows up/down easy open, central locking etc.... That's why it has a significant number of connectors for a 'pump'

Its probably affected interior lighting etc too, but you wont notice so much this time of year.

I wouldn't leave it all unplugged as it will leave all sorts randomly not working....

No windows/lights etc - but the pump cycling all the time was driving me potty which is why I unplugged the whole lot!

Its the clicking door locks that are annoying me now - I had assumed they'd also be dead if I unplugged all the connectors to the pump, but they must have a seperate connection of their own
