no accessory setting on ignition
 

thanks to ainarssems I seem to have found a major contributor to my parasitic drain
when he switches off his radio it uses about 500mA which drops to 7mA after about 30 seconds

when I switch mine off it doesn't drop below 50mA

if there was an accessory setting I would just transfer the radio feed to that !

any bright ideas as to how I could correct this ?

not having received a quick reply I had time to think on this and decided that cutting the permanent on 12v feed would do the trick as it seems my radio doesn't lose it's code when the battery is disconnected [ anyone explain why ? ]

so this pm I pulled the radio [ made tools my grinding down a couple of paring knifes [ €1 for 5 from the chinese bazaar ] and discovered that the wiring looked like someone had tied it in knots

can anyone help me identify the 12v feed on a concert radio ?

got a couple of blanks in the row of switches so get one for that to run it through that and just leave the knob on the radio in the permanently on position
