D2 FL detachable Towbar
 

GDW detachable Towbar for face-lift D2 A/S8.

Removed from my S8 last weekend as I fitted a genuine Audi one in its place.

What you see in the photos is what you'll get, plus the instruction booklet.

Please note the following points:

1. The base of the towing bracket that the towing hook fits into is visible (covered with a blanking plug) when the towing hook is removed (see photo).
2. The wiring, whilst very lengthy, is cut in places. I kept my old wiring in place, so didn't need this.
3. The electrics plug (see photo) is a genuine Audi fitment (as is the wiring) and needs an adapter to fit a 'normal' trailer plug (you can get these on line or from caravan shops).
4. If I were re-fitting this, I'd get new nuts and bolts (17mm).

I'd like £100 plus courier costs (or free delivery to the Annual Meet)

Will it fit the d3?

I have no idea, but A8 Parts might know. I'll check the manufacturer's web site too.

BTW, whilst I have your attention, are you coming to the meet?

Doh... Wish I'd known you were looking, the 4.2 TDi I just sold had a pukka Audi towbar on it....
