Or just get yourself a peeler oil extractor and don't worry about a sump plug or getting mucky :P
That's how my 3.0tdi gets done and iirc how it's also done in Audi, I also suck all the oil from the filter housing so probably collect more oil than you would from emptying from the plug, people say you don't get all the crud from the bottom but unless you have lumps of crap bigger than 2mm in diameter then I'd say it's codswallop
it sucks all the oil from the ferry bottom of the sump first, plus other less looked after cars i'v done i'v seen the crap in the bottom of the tank.
