I refuse to believe that the defeat software was even written by VW, more likely it was done by BOSCH at the request of VW which would lead me to suspect other manufacturers have done the same.

Trains are none better, massive diesel engines belching out tons of fumes, and where I live the train goes past every 30 mins or so practically empty unless it's rush hour.
The hypocrisy that surrounds green taxes and use public transport to save the environment is a load of bollocks if you ask me, if there were electric trams and trains then we might make a difference but the way things are just now is a joke.
