There is no logical connection between oil temp sensor and ESP light. It's to do with:

Basically ESP ECU is not getting torque values back from engine ECU or they are out of range, it could be either communication issue between ECU's or more likely engine ECU cannot calculate torque value and send it to ESP ECU because of dodgy MAF for example or throttle body, or maybe engine ECU does not get load signal from ancillaries like AC or alternator.
