Two too many "Lee's" on this thread. Very confusing.
I think that one was meaning that when the mirror switch is set to the left so that the nearside mirror electrically "dips" (motor in mirror housing) when reverse is engaged leaves the mirror open to be moved accidentally whilst driving.
OK easy enough to reset, but you only spot the problem when you need the mirror in a rush and you do not have time to adjust, or press the memory recall button.

I know what I mean, I only hope you do too.
