I considered, very briefly, the RS4 Cab.... but for a bunch of reasons its a non starter:
1) Its the wrong side of 10K, for a B7. The B7 is a dated interior / tech at best
2) I worry about the horror stories of clutches lasting about 5 minutes
3) I don't actually really want a manual to be honest... I fancy an stronic for once.
4) It looks a bit too bling for the commuting / hotel life I expect for it
5) I don't want another RS. I'm definitely looking for a downgrade
6) The B7 boot config is rubbish compared to the S5
7) Thirsty engine + worlds smallest fuel tank = lots of fillups. That's not fun.
8) I believe the economy is actually worse than my RS6....
9) Edit to add - My bulk doesn't fit in the bucket seats very well, and no one buys an RS4 without buckets....
I like the S5. Its a great compromise between performance / economy / convertible / practical / fun / sensible / tech
It doesn't excel at anything particularly, but it does most of everything I want better than most
I appreciate the suggestion though....
