I should have made myself more clear. The company wants.
£995 for a full rebuild of the gearbox and torque converter.
£400 for removal and refit.
However, to save a bit of money I suppose, I am going to get Ben to remove the gearbox and send it over to them (20 mins away) and then he will also refit it for me when it comes back after its recondition. Ben has said off the top of his head about 4/5 hours labour, although I am yet to talk to him to get a quote that is 'set in stone' yet as he is v. busy at the moment.
None of the above costs include the AA warranty. So yes, £1400 for a full rebuild from a ZF agent with a years warranty and with a little help from Ben and an AA warranty I am hoping to pay less.
