I like the S5. Its a great compromise between performance / economy / convertible / practical / fun / sensible / tech
It doesn't excel at anything particularly, but it does most of everything I want better than most
I appreciate the suggestion though....

Fair points, it's still probably the most underwhelming performance Audi I've ever driven though, especially after a mapped C6. I'd be all over a biturbo A6/7 with your needs, unsure how much change you'd see after you've found an IT spec one however.
