Wolfsberg, now that brings back a few memories. Had a visit there in 1959. I had been posted to 91 Car Company, RASC LAD. We worked on Beetles, Kapitans and two Jaguars. Some heavy trucks as well.
We had some German civvies working with us, they could turn a Beetle round in twenty minutes with an engine change, honestly, they were magic. They organised a Wolfsburg visit, we supplied transport and of we went in two VW Bullies. Brilliant day out but nothing like what you will see nowadays. The thing I remember is this huge press that with one "kerplump" transformed a flat sheet into a half VW Bus.
Unfortunately they are all gone now, but I am still in touch with some of the widows and all the grandkids.
