Open the bonnet

Drivers side, top left part of engine bay, where the scuttle is, there is a black plastic cover meshed cover that slides off

Pulled this off today to find a sorry looking part underneath obviously had some sort of repair with wires attached going everywhere and some kind of black pump? also a bit of water in there, sitting by the bolt for the struts

Does that make any sense to anyone? if not i will post a photo up this weekend, it looks like a repair has taken place, because i see more cable ties and wires running everywhere it looks as if something like that should have a cover on it, its been opened and repaired but maybe missing its cover
