We're in a low-fly zone for military stuff - they do a lot of following the valleys, staying well below the approach to Exeter airport. Its quite cool if you like that sort of thing, which I do
I've had Hercules fly by below the level of the house, Apaches playing dogfights in the valley below, and we get quite a lot of Chinooks. The best one though was coming over a hill and finding a fully armed Apache in the valley facing me at eye level! They are surprisingly huge and intimidating up close
