Hi, does yours drop as low as 5? Mine always seems to start at 15 then drops to 5.

It does slowly climb back up over the next couple of miles but seems to go back up to around 13mpg over the last few days on a clear run.

I've never calculated the real consumption before but I put £20 of petrol in every 2 days, and drive 25 miles per day, so £20 gives me 50 miles. (tank is always close to empty when filling up)

At £1.09/litre, £20 = 4.1 gallons.
50/4.1 = 12.2mpg

So the real consumption does reflect the readings. It definitely seems too low - my Mondeo averages 24mpg on the same journey and that engine is notorious for low MPG (Volvo T5 engine).

Thanks
