Aha! 20 litres is the threshold. Works fine with 20, not at all with 19.8! I put another 20 in this morning and its fine again.
Turns out we also had a bad coil pack but luckily I have spares of those so the misfire appears to be properly cured now.
Final fettling tonight, and MoT tomorrow
