I think the issue is that the hub mouting points expect a caliper to fit behind it but the D3 calipers that i have bought seem to have a flat side that would indicate that you mount it 'in front' ofthe hub mounting point.

I've tried to explain in this diagram...hope it makes senses (note top right comment should say 'hub mount' not 'bug mount'):
