..... water getting underneath the external button .....in fact could one of the members just try this for me just for the knowledge......
With car locked up for more than 15 mins or so ( better at night so you can see display around gear stick ) just press the outer door handle button and see if display around gear stick or hazard switch lights up ....and how long it stays lit up .
Because even when they go back off the car is still drawing some current till it goes fully to sleep again
