Wow, that's the coolest wrap I've ever seen!

Mother Nature does some nice work.

Hard to capture photographically, I bet. Hats off to you, ainarssems.

So it's 6:30 PM in TN, USA; and three days into January, the high was 69F today. Raining lightly. Going down to 32F for the low, and supposedly 20F low tomorrow night. VWAG needs to test its cars door seals here; many times this (aforementioned weather sequence) happens and I am frozen out of a car. The doors with two sets of seals (e.g., B5 Passat, 4E/D3 A8) fill with ice and it's either heatgun + 30 minutes, or hope there's enough GummiPflege left on there to not rip the rubber off.
The cars also are coated by 3/4" of ice; on the door handles (A8) this results in complete immobility.

I will credit VWAG with one thing; the battery management. If one tries to get in and releases the latch (dome lights plus whatever else pulls the 6 amps) but can't get the door open - or fully closed - the car will still start the next day. My parents' Toyota killed its battery a couple times from this scenario. (before the A8s, I borrowed their AWD Highlander to get the kids to their (private) school which never has "snow days", unlike TN public schools which close at the slightest hint of freezing, but the Passat did OK. I just hated getting the garaged VW all dirty in the salty slush) .

I have also put a 1500w ceramic heater in the car on occasion. On a timer. Toasty, and I have oil pan heaters on most of the cars (I'm a "Yankee", so cut me some slack).
