Your conditions probably reflect someone messing with the car ECUs in the past. The Driver and Passenger door ECUs are identical but coded differently. Unfortunately I can't find any coding explanations for the ECUs but I have ECU HW 4E0 959 760 in both doors and mine are coded "3670112" Passenger - Left - ECU 06 and "3670126" Driver - Right - ECU 36.
Hi Julian, just to point out that you've mentioned door ECU's then listed seat ECU's.

The door ECU's are specific to their location:
Driver (0x42) module J386 hw 4E2 907 289
Passenger (0x52) module J387 hw 4E2 959 801
Coding across the driver and passenger doors are equal and due to the different hardware they can not be swapped by coding alone and will always be driver and passenger. Also, because we're RHD our door modules start with a 4E2...

As to the front seats, coding is different between the driver and passenger - but this does not tell the control module it is Passenger (0x06) or Driver (0x36), yet both are an identical J136. There is a +12v 'jumper', PIN A30, on the Passenger (0x06) module, it is absent on the drivers (0x36) module. This is hard wired at the factory.
