I fitted mine and the brother in law helped with generic wiring install. Covered in a thread on here somewhere. If you use the OEM wiring and module it's much easier, but more costly.

I have to manually select towing mode, cos it's generic wiring. I think, not sure, that VCDS is required to code in the towbar with OEM wiring.

Essentially you need to remove most of the boot floor's carpet or lift it up, the rear bumper and drop the rear silencers a few inches. I backed my car up ramps and it was relatively simple. I didnt have large splined bits, which you need in addition to torx, machine mart saved the day.

Essentially you remove bumper, and impact bar and slide the U shaped towbar under the boot. I bought new fixings from Westfalia (who were really obliging), as my towbar was used.
