This was completely unintentional, I hadn't meant to start the install, but.....
I'd just removed some of the boot trim after seeing where the amp would end up living (under the autochanger/satnav) to replace my broken aerial assemby and missing whip which is lying on the A40 Westbound somewhere this side of Carmarthen

(bird strike in excess of 100mph)
And....... one job led to another, and another, as it invariably does, so I freed some space in my lounge and fitted the amp, and transferred the loom to the boot of my '8', after realising that I couldn't just substitute the Bose into the back shelf to replace the OEM Nokia speakers (I didn't even know they manufactured speakers) because they have different connectors on the loom and what appears to be a X-Over built into them, which I presume also feeds mid/ hf to the rear door speakers......
Well I guess that tomorrow sees me removing the rear seat and parcel shelf to run the wiring into the ****pit, test the setup and then refit the boot trim before wading in and removing the rest of the interior...
The Mrs was peeved enough at the boxes of Bose stuff sitting in my lounge, I don't reckon an S8's interior would impress too much
Have worked out the power & rear speaker loom routing, I guess the fun will really start once I get into the car's interior proper.....
but tomorrow's another day
Should I disconnect the battery before removing the rear seat, If I don't, does anyone know if there's a danger of triggering the airbags accidentally?
