Thanks yes you are probably right, will let you know how it goes anyway. The box was going in to limp when trying (and failing) to engage 4th gear. Last time it took a few days after the filter/fluid swap before the box returned to 'normal' (plus a further top up of 1 litre ATF). Think this time its more serious though.....but will keep you posted if Lazarus rises from the dead!
