Thanks for this - I hadn't realised the early units had this limitation. Having just spent a while searching ebay for non-HC 4GB SD cards and found none at all, this A3 unit I have here is rendered pretty much useless so we'll have to look at Sergey's at the meet instead. I'm going to put my JVC back in
