Thanks for the link, I had seen it before however since the D2 disc specs had broken links and I couldn't see them I wasn't able to make a decision, however I tried Zimmerman's website and was able to determine the disc height was the same for both the D2 and D3 models. Once confirmed I purchased D3 360mm discs, pads and 2 pot calipers which all mounted up perfectly with only a slight modification to the locating pins on the D2 brake hose and splicing the old brake pad warning connector onto the new pads.
I'm yet to drive the car yet so cannot comment on the stopping power, but they certainly fill the stock 17's I have on my A8!
