I tested mine a couple of days ago in a big jam in Croatia. Almost 1 hour stopped or crawling with 32C ambient.
With viscous fan apparently working (unable to stop the blades with a rolled up newspaper), and the AC on which I assume is speed 1 of the AC fan, the temperature slowly climbed from 90C to 105C and stayed on 105C.
My AC fan speeds 1 and 2 are not working via the radiator thermo switch. Only speed 3 works via the instrument cluster when temp gets to around 115.
So in my case the first fix is to replace the thermo switch (and check the fuses first)
