So,
Little update.
The Yuasa battery after 3 days on trickle charge is no longer holding anything above 11.2V. Odd as the little indicator is still showing green as in "OK".
New battery on (Varta as the link MJ supplied) cranked over and fired up no issues whatsoever. Checked alternator output........ None. Now I remember when backing the car down the drive there was a rattle from under the bonnet for a few seconds, then went away. I thought maybe the cats have blown on the offside but now thinking maybe the alternator has given up??
Pulley belt is fine and the pulley spins on the alternator but no output.
Will check on this later as I have to pull the suspension on this side so might as well take the alternator out for further investigation.
