Right, back on this (again) after a bit of a wait for powdercoating due to a backlog and continued difficulty sourcing parts.
Cleaned up in here
I popped the oil pump screen off just to check there were no bits of chain tensioner stuck in it - one tiny piece so thats fine.
Sealant round the flange
Sump back on. I put new bolts on this time since the old ones are properly crusty. The sump looks a bit crunchy in this pic because of the light - actually its just some surface pitting where the rust was blasted off.
Metal oil cooler pipe
One day I will manage to stick a sump on without catching the sealant before it sets. That day is not today
Replaced the oil pressure sensor as a precaution
The old thermostat housing was such a mess I just replaced it with a good one.
Put to bed for the evening since the cam covers are off.
