The bonnet is back from paint and they have made a very nice job of it



This is how the special roof rack works - the catches are removed and replaced with some M8 threaded bar which attaches to the right hand side of the rack



and the left hand side of the rack attaches to the hinge holes.



The bonnet is solid on here without touching the fresh paint



mmm fresh paint The PF is looking after the bonnet at the moment as I'm rather enjoying working in the engine bay with the bonnet off.



On with engine removal. In keeping with the generally cooperative nature of the car so far, only two screws on the electronics box are seized. One can be recovered, and this rusty one will be replaced



Its been a little damp in here but all the connectors are fine



I think this is the first one I've encountered where the original snub mount is still intact



Everything disconnected on the top of the engine
