I mentioned above that I would add a few images from when I met the touring group in Germany.
So here are some (of varying quality) .....

A one-night stay at the Burghotel Schnellenburg at Attendorn

In the Burg private parking...

A distant view of 5 A8s from the outside of the Atta Cave in Attendorn

At the Biggesee lake....

The hotel at Cochem...

Cochem at sunset

At the Nürburgring Nordschleife - Streckenabschnitt Brünnchen (a well-known viewing spot) an Allroad is the best vehicle to use to get the best viewing spot. Especially to see your own car coming into view
(I took the Allroad on the day because I didn't fancy driving the S8 on a damp racetrack).

Nürburg Castle in the distance...

I had the opportunity to get out of my car and take a few still shots on the home straight (I was the last moving car on the track as the track closed)

Maybe this was the reason the track closed (caught on my camera as I was filming the lap). Someone has a big bill to fork out for here...

And if you want a break between laps you could go for a walk up to Nürburg Castle to get a bird's-eye view of the track and the amazing countryside around (you really have to zoom in with your camera phone and get such a blurry photo if you want to recognise anything)
