There are indeed 4 bolts which when undone allow the plate/frame holding the changer to lift out. The cable unplugs - job done. Many thanks.

Underneath the player is a ribbed metal box - this is the power amplifier I guess, but not for the AVIC I suspect. Its deep in the cubby so I guess I'll just ignore it.

However as there have been no sniffs of interest on this site, I guess there is little or no value to the changer in these days of mp3 players.
