I bought the W12 front badge
It does look suspiciously easy to fit on page 336 of the Exterior Parts Service Manual but it is impossible to access from the front. As you said Steamship, Page 267 of that manual shows a simplistic exploded diagram of how the grille is attached but I had a lot of head-scratching over the weekend so it's still not fitted yet.
Worth noting is that the badge looks very different to that displayed on page 336 - the one I have has 2 long "legs" which go through the grille, at least an inch long.

I'll see what happens over the next few days, if I can I'll take photos. But I'm the worlds most impatient person when it comes to this and I tend to prefer giving the job to a garage
