As highlighted by Neil, with it not being a Final Edition, it should necessitate the seller reducing his expectations on price.
It hasn't got the bi-xenon (xenon plus) headlights or the phone prep (no rear aerial on the wing) that's typical of a Final Edition, but it does have the solar roof that you don't find on an FE.

The front grille badge is in the wrong place and looks like it's stuffed in at an angle. Maybe broken?
The rear badge has too much of a distance between the S and the 8 in my opinion (how pedantic is that? ). So that would make me want to check to see if the rear has been painted - maybe after some post-accident bodywork??
And the stone-chipping at the front looks a little excessive for an 83k mile car so you'd need to factor the cost of that in to make it look pretty.
No mention of a belt change in the advert. This could mean that you've got a grand to fork out for that (can cost more and less, depending on who is doing it - Audi quoted me £1400 two years ago).
And then there's the usual checking for knocking from worn control arm bushes, does the aircon cool properly, oil leaks in the engine bay blah, blah. But the listing states "lots of history" so it suggests things have been taken care of when needed.

When test-driving the car, check for any clunks in the gearbox when changing up and down. That gearbox service may have been done poorly or a long time ago. I test-drove a D2 once that had a noticeable thud/clunk when dropping down a gear (in automatic mode, not sports or a Tiptronic shift) at 30mph.

Relative to Frank's car (spannerrash) that he advertised the other day on here for £6k, I think £7.5k is a tad too much. But in relation to others that I've seen for sale within the last year, it's certainly not taking the proverbial. Frank's car has rear heated seats, TPMS, bi-xenons and phone prep with similar mileage (although no blinds, or solar roof) and would certainly be on my list to check out (when he wants to put it back up for sale again in the near future).

As a yardstick for pricing and what the "market" is willing to pay at the moment, you may want to see what this Final Edition went for in Newcastle recently with 113k miles.
Here

Anyway, good luck and let us know how you get on.
