can't say whether the hotel is any good....if you live near york you wouldn't use it! ...........now, activities....erm....... york has a fine free art gallery, the castle museum is worth a wonder, cliffords tower is interesting in an olde worlde way. I quite enjoy a stroll around the city walls, its good exercise, free and you see lots of the city. Takes about 2 hrs. There is the York dungeon and Jorvik museum (haven't been in myself!) and there are organised ghost tours of an evening and a couple of theatres which might have something on. If you're really lucky there may be a farmer/european market in the centre with some fine food and drink. Of course you can always hop on the tour bus or the tour boats and have someone point out the fun stuff. Nearby theres a farming and aircraft museum if you venture further afield. Anyone else think of anything?
