The solar roof does indeedy have 2 simple connections that run into the passenger footwell, but it actually goes to a relay which is controlled by the climate module. The relay connects the blower fans to either the +12 from the battery, or the solar roof.
Great thanks for shedding some light on that, i only thought it did charge the battery because thats what others have told me...


On a different note, here is the loom fully exposed.
I have now removed it from the car.



I haven't weighed it yet but it fills two banana boxes and I'm thinking must weigh in at around 25kg...
