Anyway, as for today:

Day started out well, as Mikes failed alternator fixed itself during the night (the poor car was quite possibly scared as it knew he was going to help me fix it today) so a nasty and expensive job was avoided. We did strip and replace his rear pads though, due to sticking pads - by the way, don't ever buy your pads over here!!!!!
However, Refro asked me to have a "quick look" at his brakes - big mistake!
They had been wearing funny on the front discs so we took brakes apart but that was a struggle due to seized pads. As the pads had been sticking they were over heating under normal driving and the pad material had broken up. Major disaster avoided though as he's managed to source a set for tomorrow so my tool kit can't be quite packed away just yet!

A couple of people turned up here to have lunch with us, which was really nice, especially as they were German so added a bit of diversity to the conversation and helped us all have a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.
Then, the track was finally opened about 5:15pm and we got a quick half lap in while it was empty. Then Mike and Darren got back out for a full lap, but due to the million people that then got on in one go a few crashes and flying motorcyclists caused the track to be shut.

We called it a day there and retired for a pizza at the local Italian run German restaurant! Bit of food, bit of beer and now sat on the balcony, ignoring each other posting on forums!

Great day and thanks to the guys here for making it such fun.

For everyone who wanted to come but didn't, rest assured you're missing out!!!!!!
