The engine is the 4.2 S8 version which is the higher HP version than the standard 4.2
The hesitation traditionally occurs when I come to a near stop at a stop sign, maybe down to 2-3 mph and then give it gas. For a moment nothing happens. It is not a shift break and I have had too many cars to know that difference.
However, of late, it actually getting worse at even higher speeds. Getting dangerous to drive. From day one, (new) dealer has always insisted it was normal and no longer will even write of the complaint. Out A 4 does not do this and a friends 2002 A8 does not do it either. Thinking software but am stumped.
