There are several ways of doing it. I normally do not take driveshaft off, just pull it out of wheel hub then CV joint off. And to do that I disconnect lower suspension arms at the wheel hub not at the subframe.
The 6 bolts at output flange should be replaced or at least threadlock used when putting back as I have seen them get loose/come out on several occasions if old ones are reused without threadlock. Therefor I do not get them out if I do not have to.
