the foot rest I'm talking about is a piece of plastic that takes about 5 seconds to remove, there is nothing behind it. If you add a third pedal without modifying the brake or gas pedal, the plastic foot rest will have to go. Then there will be just enough room for a clutch pedal. Its the big plastic thing to the left of the picture.
My issue is, if you have to keep your foot on the floor in front of the clutch pedal, it may get uncomfortable as you cant stretch out your leg, and also reduce your reaction time as you have to lift your foot all the way up onto the clutch pedal. If you had a foot rest like in a LHD car you could just move the foot to the side and you would be right on the clutch pedal.
